Richmond, Va. (Oct. 30, 2009) — The news continues to be good for Free Agents Marketing, one of the few area businesses to experience growth in the past year of economic decline.
The full-service advertising, marketing, public relations and event management agency based in Richmond was recently honored with four awards in the 2009 MarCom Awards Competition.
The MarCom Awards are an international creative competition that recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals and are hosted by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.
Free Agents won one Platinum Award, MarCom's highest honor, for their work on the "Bon Secours Good Help Volunteer" brochure. The agency won two Gold Awards, one for the "Bon Secours Heart Institute Grand Opening" save the date card, and one for "Orthopaedic Excellence X-Ray," a direct mail piece that was sent to physicians.
They also received Honorable Mention for the Annual Virginia Public Relations Awards Collateral, which was pro bono work the agency did for the Public Relations Society of America's "Count Me In" campaign.
"We are proud to be honored with these awards from MarCom, and proud of the work we are able to do with our outstanding partners," said Ken Wayland, president of Free Agents. "We look forward to contributing to more positive projects in the coming year."
Established in 2001, Free Agents' 25-member team works with health care, retail, automotive, corporate and non-profit clients in all aspects of communications strategies.
