Richmond, Va. (May 14, 2010) — Free Agents Marketing (www.freeagentsmarketing.com) brought home three awards of excellence at the recent Commonwealth Awards sponsored by the Richmond chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
The Richmond-based agency also took top honors in three categories, as well as one second and one third place award, from the Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations awards (VSHMPR), held in Charlottesville on May 6.
Free Agents brought home PRSA Commonwealth Awards of Excellence, in the categories of Integrated Communications, Internal Communications and Reputation/Brand Management. The Integrated Communications award was for the firm’s work on the Bon Secours Safe & Sound campaign, while the Internal Communications honor was for the Bon Secours Employee Engagement Program. Free Agents’ success in planning and carrying out the public relations for Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital Charrette earned them the prize for Reputation/Brand Management. The PRSA awards are a statewide competition and also open to agencies in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
The three first-place awards at the VSHMPR ceremony were for outstanding work in outdoor marketing for the www.mybonsecours.com billboard, outstanding work on a campaign for the St. Mary’s Hospital Charrette, and outstanding print advertising for the Bon Secours Cardiac insert in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Free Agents also took second place for the “I Chose Dr. Katz” print advertisement and third place for the Bon Secours Safe & Sound campaign.
“It is a great feeling to be honored by outstanding organizations like the PRSA and VSHMPR,” said Ken Wayland, president of Free Agents Marketing. “We are proud of the work we are able to do and we enjoy collaborating with our clients to produce effective, meaningful projects.”
