FAM HR director gives back to the Richmond community
Our director of human resources Marilyn Wayland volunteers a few hours a week as a classroom assistant in a second grade classroom at George Mason Elementary School in Richmond.
Marilyn leads special activities with the kids to reinforce what they are learning in class. As a part of their unit about Thanksgiving, Marilyn helped the kids at George Mason make Native American necklaces and vests with leather and beads.
Their teacher, Mrs. Wilkins, is very passionate and creative. "I'm so grateful to have Marilyn in my classroom," she said. "She gives me a much-needed break, and helps my love bugs get excited about what we're learning!"
